The strong Giant

The Dutch writer and artist Armando wrote many unusual fairy tales. This is the story of the strong Giant, who is strong, but not nice. For instance he likes travellers- for dinner.Due to copyright I cannot relate the whole story. Excerpts of some pages are to be found on the right.
This project was carried out in the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, guided by Sophie Schmid.

Das Gelage (The Feast)

Dinner is ready! The guests are looking forward to devouring the exquisite food creations, prepared by the well known chef de cuisine. But someone muddled up the menu. The challenge is not only to retrieve the best pieces out for oneself, but to make one`s servants steal the finest bits from the other guests` plates.
This card game is part of my diploma thesis at the Bauhaus-Univerität Weimar and was produced under Sophie Schmid`s and Werner Holzwarth`s guidance. There are a few impressions to be seen on the right.

Dolce Vita

The penny dreadfuk "Dolce Vita" by Susan Hasting tells the story of the German girl Sylvie, who is committed to find her Latin lover in northern Italy. There are lots of kitschy problems to be solved in sentences with a surplus of adjectives- but without a doubt there will be a happy ending. I decided to transform this story into a fable, starring Sylvie The Sheep.
This projects was realised at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar supervised by Stephan Eckel.

Sterntaler

»There was once on a time a little girl whose father and mother were dead, and she was so poor that she no longer had any little room to live in, or bed to sleep in, and at last she had nothing else but the clothes she was wearing and a little bit of bread in her hand which some charitable soul had given her. She was, however, good and pious. And as she was thus forsaken by all the world, she went forth into the open country, trusting in the good God.«
But the world she is going to find there is a different one.

Zoomquilt 1 und 2

The general principle of the Zoomquilt is relatively simple. There is a painting with an infinite zoom. It is a collaborative art project, many artists from Europe and the US participated and painted small pieces of the final artwork. The inventor of the idea is Nikolaus Baumgarten.
